Based in Sandholme, Brough, our family-run business specialises in supplying reclaimed flooring to commercial and domestic clients throughout the UK. For more than 25 years we have reclaimed timber from old buildings and lovingly stripped the wood back to its original beauty, so that it can be used again. Quite a simple process it would seem, but one which requires highly skillful workmanship and attention to detail. Our company’s founder and proprietor, Wayne Coleman, has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the trade, and he – along with his team of expert staff – are passionate about what they do.
We sell a huge range of reclaimed timber products to timber flooring distributors and the general public, including:
Oak
• Pine
• Pitch pine
• Oregon pine
• Hardwoods
• Feature beams
We acquire large section beams, baulks, roof trusses, floor joists, pine beams, oak beams and original floorboards from derelict buildings, such as old churches, schools, hospitals and Victorian mills. Using state-of-the-art industrial saw mill equipment, we strip the decaying exterior off the wood to bring it back to its natural beauty. After we salvage the timber we process it through our saw mill in different stages, cleaning and de-nailing, then scanning over it with a metal detector. The final step is to check the timber for colour continuity. We then saw the timber into one-inch boards and send it through the planer/moulder for tongue and groove or square edging.
We can reprocess the reclaimed timber into high quality flooring up to 10-inches wide, reproducing an authentic period floor in pitch pine, reclaimed oak, and Oregon pine.
We also produce a 12-13mm overlay in reclaimed oak pitch pine and Oregon pine which can be butted to carpet or tile from an adjoining room.
Our products are mainly used for wood floors, feature beams and oak beams. We also deal with new oak wide boards. If you’re renovating your home, planning a DIY project or you’re a trade professional looking for a new supplier, why not let us provide you with reclaimed flooring?
